Meet Our Pharmacists

Amanda Wheeler
RPh, PharmD
Director of Pharmacy

Amanda received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Findlay. She chose to become a pharmacist as she wanted a career that combined her love of math and science with her desire to care for others. Before joining the MVHC Team in January of 2023, Amanda was the Pharmacy Manager and Clinical Pharmacist at Northside MVHC Pharmacy for seven years. 

 

A fun fact about Amanda is she loves running long distances! In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and gardening.

Alex Beach
PharmD

Alex received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry/Pre-Pharmacy from Ohio University and his Doctor of Pharmacy from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. He chose to become a pharmacist because it enabled him to serve his local community and combine his love of science and healthcare. Alex's favorite diagnosis to manage is heart disease. He has previous experience in both clinical and retail pharmacy settings. 

A fun fact about Alex is he has three large German Shepherds! Alex joined the MVHC Team in March of 2023.

Danette Warner
PharmD

MVHC Pharmacy - Zanesville

Danette obtained her PharmD from The Ohio State University. Danette chose to become a pharmacist because she enjoys the medical field, but did not want to work with bodily fluid.

 

A fun fact about Danette is that she has ran the Boston Marathon twice, and the second time was the worst weather conditions on record. Danette joined the MVHC Team in March of 2023! 

Samantha Bagnola
PharmD

Sam obtained her PharmD and completed a community pharmacy practice residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She chose to become a pharmacist because she enjoyed biology in high school and college and wanted a job where she could help people. Sam enjoys helping patients manage migraines more effectively, as it is a problem that she can relate to. Since most patients treat migraines with over-the-counter medications, she feels that there is a big role that pharmacists can play in managing migraines.

 

A fun fact about Sam is that after living in Chicago for the last 8.5 years, she is moving back to Ohio to be closer to family and friends. Sam joined the MVHC Team in March of 2023!

Alaina Lacy
PharmD

Alaina earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Cedarville University and her Doctor of Pharmacy from Cedarville University School of Pharmacy. Her initial interest in pharmacy stemmed from her love of science and fascination with the intricate processes of the human body. She also has a strong passion for helping and serving others. Pharmacy allows Alaina to incorporate these into her everyday life. Her favorite diagnosis to manage is diabetes. Alaina has previous experience in clinical, retail, outpatient, and long-term care pharmacy settings. 

A fun fact about Alaina is she ran collegiate track and cross country during her undergraduate years! Alaina joined the MVHC Team in March of 2023. 

Medication Discount Program

MVHC participates in a federal program that helps our patients save money on their medications and provides resources to strengthen healthcare in our community. 

Participating in this program is easy. Simply take your prescription to one of our MVHC Pharmacy locations, or to one of our pharmacy partners listed below. At the pharmacy, you can save up to 40% off the cost of your medications. This program is open to eligible insured and uninsured patients.
